Money of course. Im not 100% sure, but i know after The Minstrel Show 9th felt like he deserved a bit more. Ended up leaving the group but beef never really came out in public.

Pooh and Phonte continued on without 9th, but something was still going on behind the scenes that made pooh and phonte split up. Phonte did an interview that said he would rather end the business relationship they had to preserve the friendship, if they would have continued they would end up hating eachother.

Then on the last album Leftback, for an itunes deluxe version of the album, they used a song produced by 9th. It was an old song though. 9th didnt like that and talked shit to phonte through twitter. They had words, but nothing went to far.

Phonte and 9th then reconnected and made a few songs before Phonte's solo album came out. Then 9th produced a few on phonte's solo album. Not sure if there is issues between phonte and pooh though, as they havent collaborated since the split.
