Diddy and Shakir Stewart put Jeezy in the game and Shakir Stewart put Rozay in the game. People always give Jay credit for stuff that he didn't do and neglect everyone else. Diddy is just as powerful as Jay in his own way. The only edge Jay has is the forbes list.

1st of all let me correct you. G-Dep also didn't have much "success". He had a hot single aaaaaannnd...poof he was gone. I liked his album personally. Jay's only successful rappers came under Dame tutelage.

Secondly, ONE of the definitions of a "mogul" is a extremely powerful business person.



Diddy is a powerful business person who built his empire on his own. Unlike Jay Z.

Can we really consider Puffy to ever be a rapper? REALLY?! No.

Diddy has 5 successful albums ranging from 7M sold to Gold. He also has the record for most 1 single hits by a rapper.

Puffy's strength has always been on the business side and initially Puffy was the man, second to Russell Simmons because no matter what people say,Russell was the original HipHop Mogul.



Puffy and Russell are still the man. Jay and 50 too, but Jay has been boosted up the most with a lot of help over them all.

Its not about who you had as an artist, the albums you put out of the artist, blah blah blah....ITS ABOUT THE MOVES YOU MAKE BUSINESS WISE, and the success of your ventures you produce from your craft.
