i give them more credit for having the talent to be able to contribute more to the process than those who do less of the writing or production. shit even stevie wonder the goat R&B nigga had help with some writing. But the message and vibes of the album is dope.
Most of the new beyonce shit has 30 writers on that shit and it's excessive.
Most of the greatest soul songs weren't written by the artist. That was rare. As long as you can sing, no one cared. Been that way since the industry began.

but stevie is the goat because he mostly wrote his own shit which is why he stand higher than the others. Also during that time they didn't have 80 writers for one song like beyonce has not shit is out of control.

Facts.
Dude was one of Freeway Ricky Ross’s lawyers in his lawsuit against the rapper and a Huffingtonpost contributer on black economic issues. His gripe is basically against the neoliberalist self-reliance economic messages that ignore the structural mechanisms that prevent blacks from having wealth beyond token individuals.
Doesn’t change my opinion on the album sonically but does articulate some concerns I’ve had with some of the content.

solange's album was one of the best RnB albums to come out in the last 5 years or so. Not one skippable track on there...production was great, lyrics on point, and her voice is amazing. She has really come into her own.
