I think it's dope that everyone is on the same page that this is a great album.

I didn't read this thread or any reviews when i first heard it.

Called it a classic to me, then I went on the internet and was relieved to find out that everyone had similar opinions.

It honestly seem like some niggas are upset that it's getting positive reviews. You would think an album that's well recieved from someone like Jay would be a good thing.

He shattered expectations and delivered a good to great album from top to bottom. What else could you ask for?

Yeah I'm glad the album has been so well received. I was skeptical about a new Jay album at first given his last few offerings, but he more than made up for those weed plates w/ this new joint. The only negative responses I've read were in the comment section of a Yahoo news article. It was the typical..."he's not a real musician"....."see how this low life drug dealer cheated on his wife"......"Jay is a racist/anti semitic"....."blah blah garbage, trashy nigger noise". Basically just a bunch of clueless/racist mfs whose opinions don't matter anyway.

Nuff of my boys are on some 'he's only doin' it coz it's popular' ting. Had a big argument about it yesterday.

he's been putting out bad music for so long that it's refreshing to see him realese a project thst he put his heart into..

he's one of the dopest rappers of all time and such an a great figure that no one wants to see him lose.

I took it personal everytime he put out some wack shit because i know what he's capable of. When he puts out a song that reflects his potential, it will put a smile on any hip hop fan's face. Even the most die hard, dick riding NASrealite secretly love this nigga jay.

Who knows. Jay is a smart dude, so I wouldn't put it past him. I think the album content is genuine and the timing is perfect. I'm sure Jay pays attention to the success of guys like Kendrick, how uncompromising and honest K-Dot is w/ his artistry and how the world has embraced and championed his music/message. Plus I think in general people are getting tired of the redundant, fake, cookie cutter, bland bullshit that has infested the rap culture. No better time than right now for an artist of Jay's caliber to create this type of album. I'll even go as far as saying that this album is essential to Jay's legacy given all that he's already accomplished and how guarded he's always been w/ his personal life. The album is grown. The messages are honest, introspective & real. The overall production is classic, smooth and flawless. Jay made an entire album w/o one track for radio and that shit is still amazing. Gotta give Hov props and respect for that.

Nah they're wrong. I get it's a popular topic but it's necessary.

If Jay came out in this climate talking that braggadocios shit, then people would get on him for not speaking about black issues.

Plus Hov been doing the most behind the scenes from freeing the protesters in Ferguson to donating to Mike Brown and Eric Garners family.

He even had a show speaking on police brutality against black people.

People just hate giving hov props
