No I.D. did his thing on this album but I really wish jay would've linked up just blaze I wonder what happened between those two

Blaze says when him and Jay gets together it's trying to make shit on the level of PSA/U don't know. He says it's hard for them to top that. It's easier for him to make a commercial hit record than a classic b side.

"im in the skrrt witcha bit....yea right

i'm in the skrrt witcha bit...cool story"

moonlight is moving up in my 444 power rankings

Generational wealth, thats is the Key.

My parents didn't have shit,

so that shift started with me.

Its funny considering that Jay along with Puffy started the whole spend money on material shit phase of Hip Hop. His whole career was spent telling people to waste money.

It's funny how you can't wrap your head around how this album is about growth. He also apologized for the way he treated women in the past, or did you politely overlook that so you could post some misguided barb?

You see it as a barb, I see it as evolution. You can't see where you're at if you can't remember where you came from. What's past is just that...in the past. My post wasn't a slight on Jay, but an acknowledgement of how funny things turn out decades later. The dude who was all about materialism is now preaching to people to handle their money right and to build wealth. He was a kid in his 20's out the gate, and now a man in his 40's with a family who sees how the world works. Just too bad he didn't make this turn sooner.

That's usually how it works...you spend your 20s and a good part of your 30s just trying to figure shit out

After this album, it feels Jay has pretty much said and addressed everything... Like it was his last big hurrah and produced arguably a classic album... Do people think he can make another album up to par with this??? Or leave rap on a high and have this be his last album???

I feel like DMX has an album like this in him with the madness he has been through...

X don't have this at all imo, he can't even recreate his 1st lp

This album gets better w/ each subsequent listen and the video for The Story of O.J. is pure

This is the album that I've been waiting for him to make since Blueprint 1. Top 3 in his catalog imo.
