It means that an artist that is in the game for a longer amount of time would naturally have more success than an artist that haven't been in the game as long.

now those two have the biggest flops in hip hop history. i would say flocka too.

Word, but Flocka moved like 285,000 total though. And that shit was straight trash. Quality aside, i would actually use Flocka's debut as an example, he sold 37,000 his first week, only to end up maxing out at 285-290,000.

But Waka Flocka released his debut a year after he even started RAPPING and moved close to 300k

it means that they had more time to develop as artist than cole, thus the reason why they have some type of leverage over cole. Wiz was first signed in 2007 to warner bros. he had time to find his niche and see wat worked for him and what didn't. he found the weed gimmick and now he's blown up. Big sean has also been signed since 2007 and got time to cultivate his fanbase threw mixtapes and shows. Cole's been signed since 2009 (2years) and he's just gettin warmed up (no pun intended)

My point is that wiz and sean had more time than cole to develop, thus is the reason why they are more successful at the minute.

But wasn't he signed to Bricksquad since 2009 though? Plus Flocka rode the momentum of Gucci's music and popularity, while Cole been standing on his own as an artist.

All that development talk is bullshit. Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa and whoever else dropped they albums cause instead of waiting until they got 500k Twitter followers or whatever else, they hopped in that studio and got to work and put out something the people could appreciate. J Cole has toyed around with you fools

Brick Squad wasn't an official label until 2009.

Brick Squad wasn't an official label until 2009.

And Roc Nation wasn't founded until 2008, and didn't have an artist until 2009 (J. Cole), and didn't have more than one artist until 2010...

...While Bricksquad started off with more than one rapper.

i rather him sell 10K first week and have a great album than sell 200k and his album is shitty (lupe). It's the haters bringin up sales.

real shit my nigga. niggas acting like big sean and wiz ain't put in work. i mean you got niggas predicting big sean will disappear. big sean has surpassed j.cole in terms of status in the game. face it i know it hurts. wait until the mgc video next week? hype williams got another classic on the way. ffoe. expect sales to pick up. oh yeah "high" video with wiz after that.
