Can't hate on any of these options, they all great rappers that could make the top 5 but I don't see how BIG was anymore better than Pac they pretty much in the same league. Nas was arguable better than both lyrically but just never had that mass appeal.
Nas> Pac=Big
Rap = Rhyming and Poetry, to be the best rapper you have to be good a both which in this case you got 2 different emcees who were the best at 2 different styles. Big was the rhymer and Pac was the Poet, how you determine who was the best is how you view rap/hip-hop, if its a sport then BIG...

Pac was an influential rapper of his time because he knew how...
dude there are alot of rappers that are less skilled, just turn on bet and watch a countdown. Pac wasn't trying to be "lyrical" in the technical sense because his objective was not to do so. He could have done that but what makes him so original or his genius was that he didn't do that, he did...
pac had more classic songs then most rappers entire discographies, there's only maybe 1 song that I could consider wack that I've heard and it's still better then most of the songs rappers put out today.
No one was crafting songs like pac, I think cause everyone was too technical he made songs...
jay-z... He doesn't seem to bring anything besides materialism and any rapper can do that, hes too replaceable and in my opinion doesn't have enough classic tracks.
I can understand pac but if that shit didn't happen to them 2 it probably would have happened regardless. That shit showed people...
you can find most of them online but they were supposed to release an album called shakurespeare with all of pac's material from 2pacalypse now and all eyez on me era
