No God was by Himself. He was consulting within the God-head. God is one. The scriptures are clear about this. But he also exists in 3 persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. That is why He said "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:"

No Melchisedec was a "type" of Christ.

The biblical definition of type is:
"A type is a preordained representation wherein certain persons, events, and institutions of the O.T. stand for corresponding persons, events, and institutions of the N.T. Types are pictures or object lessons by which God has taught His redemptive plan. They are a shadow of things to come, not the image of those things."
