LGBT are a minority group. Due to that many members of their community suffer for their lifestyle, in some form or another. We can all agree with this.

Now at the end of the day, gender identity and sexual attraction are just as harmless as whatever your race, religion, nationality, etc. is. Many will argue differently, but in our CURRENT SOCIETY, the shit doesn't hurt anything.

So because LGBT lifestyles are harmless, what reason do people have to be repulsed by it or dislike it, other than due to religious beliefs or because of a lifetime of buying into "set" gender roles/expectations?

Speaking for myself, quite honestly, stereotypical LGBT behavior bothers me and I'm very much a supporter of their cause. But the older i've gotten I realize that it bothers me for no other reason than it goes against everything that i've grown up knowing about men and women.

We live in a patriarchal society where "men are supposed to be men and women are supposed to know their role"; these are very strict and deeply held onto beliefs within our world (the very fact that all of you knows every implication associated with this phrase without me explaining more says it all).

Gender and what it means to be a "proper" boy or girl (especially a boy) are the first social constructs people identify with. Even before race and religion. EVEN MORE SO than race and religion. Thats how deep this shit is.

But its not a good reason to think any less or different of what LGBT do. After all it was once and still is a deeply held onto belief that darker skinned people from the continent of Africa were inferior.

And we all know how irrational that is. And that ANY thought process that seems to leaning in that direction should be called out for how bullshit it is.

And we all know how sneaky and subtle the shots at Black people can be.

As has already been stated, most people are set to expect man to be with woman. that's how we are physically constructed and the survival of the species depends on heterosexual sex. Homosexuality has not place in the natural order period. It's an abomination. Now, if people are homosexual and that's what they engage in, fine. That doesn't mean everybody has to look at it like it's right.
