It is absolutely essential that people snitch, and that people know that others will snitch. Public order and safety demands it -- both of which are necessary for a community to flourish.

My take on the "stop snitching" aka G-Code is this:

SOME not all but SOME are so quick to say "stop snitching" when it comes to everything, not just street niggas and their criminal activities..EVERYTHING. Even if it's a cold blooded murderer living near them, they won't say a damn thing (word to Killa Cam on Minutes 60..lol) But at the same time when the innocent is harmed or killed the same exact people that's on stop snitching mandate are on the block having "stop the violence" rallies...but wait a minute..you was just holding on to the stop snitching bullshit. My point is you can't have two mandates: expecting results for a positive environment when you ain't saying shit to the cops.

I'm sure if any of ya'll saw a muthafucka blow a young kid's brains out and you happen to know that kid, you would say something right? Or better yet..a close relative getting killed.

You have to remember though that some people won't snitch yet they haven't bought into the "no snitching" thing. They're simply afraid. So when people like that join the 'stop the violence' rallies there is no inconsistency involved.
