Good drop...When this article came out, I was 13. I clearly remember people being robbed/killed for Starter jackets,Jordans(anything Nike Air really),Fila and Triple F.A.T Goose coats. African medallions were snatched off necks on a daily basis.7th and 8th grade, I was on the basketball team and caught the bus home everyday after practice and you had to transfer downtown each time. Downtown was where about 7/10 stick-ups would happen. I used to put my Nike Air Flights in my gym bag and wear some busted Converse so I wouldn't be a target. One of my teammates had the North Carolina blue Jordans and got jumped one day after practice by like 3-4 dudes, got his sneakers snatched and his coat taken.

Reading through this thread is bringing back memories as growing up as a child in the 90s.

I remember telling my mom I wanted one of those Charlotte Hornets starter jackets back around the mid 90s and she was like no don't you know boys your age are getting killed for those things.

As far as the Jordan's I never was a big fan of his shoes.

Now on the other hand those Penny Hardaways were hot though and I liked those along with those air max of the day and cats in my area were getting robbed left and right for them.

I just saw a nigga wearing a Starter jacket last night. First thought was to stomp him out for it until I saw that it was a Cleveland Browns jacket. He can keep that shit.
