Someone mentioned seafood; man the seafood is great! Can’t go home without getting me either a shrimp or catfish po boy. It’s a cool city for water activities as well. The fishing is good. My boys and I usually take a few kayaks and row under neath the bridge to fish, or we’ll hop on the boat to go fish at one of the islands.

If you’re into gambling, there’s quite a few casinos. One of my best friends played black jack with Michael Jordan. That nigga goes through some cash and he said he’s ruthless on the tables; constantly telling people to hurry up and if you ain’t got no cash get the hell on. The casino buffets are good as well.

As for partying; you’ve got the casinos that have the clubs in them. There’s quite a few daiquiri spots; they just opened up a Fat Tuesday. The hard rock hotel is usually boomin. Bar scenes cool in nearby Ocean Springs. Usually get drunk as a fool then hit the juke joint that stay open till 4am. You also got New Orleans an hour and some change away. It’s also an artsy city, so there’s many museums.

Chicago, yeah cats get killed here but what major metro city doesn't. Outside of that it's a lot to do here. As far as tourist go they stick to downtown and the north side. It's a lot of gems around on the south and west side, with beautiful architecture and everything. In the summer, Chicago has it going on with a lot of the festivals going on. West Indian and African fests. Like I see if you a fuck nigga that's what you got looking for, fuck shit

For some reason at heart i always had Chicago as a place to go to no matter the streotypes man.

I know Chicago got their history just like we all do.

Tbh, outside of the crime, I hear nothing but good things about The Chi. Especially the food. I'm a sucker for a bomb ass pizza lol

I may have to check out some of those festivals this summer too. We have some here in late summer/early fall, but I like to travel.

Yep, the summer time in the Chi be going on. You have the "House Music" festival during the weekend of the 4th of July, it be soooo many people out there. And 2 weeks after that you have the Silver Room block party

That's some new shit then. I've been to nearly every festival downtown in the summers from the 80's through the early 00's and never once had or saw any issues.

What can be done to improve this community I live in is to reinvest in local businesses here and to not close down the hospital that they plan to close down that wasn't cool when they made that decision
