Salute the Snowman.

It's always good to see one of our brothers get an executive position instead of some outsider.

Their Urban division is in desperate need of some new blood because Atlantic been suspect every since the issues with Saigon and more recently Lupe Fiasco....completely out of touch label on the HipHop side; their formula is this:

Wiz Khalifah feat Bruno Mars "Young Wild & Free" (1X platinum)

T.I. feat Justin Timberlake "Dead and Gone" (2X platinum)

B.O.B feat Hayley Williams "Airplanes" (4X platinum)

Flo Rida feat Ke$ha "Right Round" (5X platinum)

Lupe Fiasco feat Sklar Grey" "Words I never said" (N/A)

They need some street edge in that building besides Plies & Maino but I'm kinda surprised they went out and got Jeezy instead of going with their own boy T.I.

Real post... they over there lookin like Jive records in the early 2000s. They need Jeezy right now.

damn da crackaz & white cracka mob lemonade fetcherz cant stop talkin about rozay after he shitt;d on they facez i love it itz great PROMO lol

It is weird that an artist on Def jam which is universal would get a job at Atlantic which is Warner Brothers

Nah. The companies are all in bed with each other, so to speak.

This is interesting. Now we play the the waiting game. He's probably sending his CTE artists to Atlantic
Doubt it. It's just adding insult to injury if they do end up over there. Not only would they have no buzz (Gibbs has some) and a label head not doing much for them (Jeezy) but they would also have little to no creative control under (Trans)Atlantic (Slave Trade) Records.

To a degree but there is always business rivalry between labels. even within Universal Interscope was battling musically and street wise w/ there artists against Def jam and Arista

I dont understand why people feel the need to constantly pit two brothers against each other like this is some Pokemon shit instead of a culture/community/industry.

Jeezy aint worried about Rozay, hes worried about Gibbs, Tone Trump & Scrilla

Rozay aint worried about Jeezy hes worried about Gunplay, Stalley & Rockie Fresh

you cant knock a brother for taking an executive position at one of these labels regardless how raggedy the label is...Im down for the complete takeover.

lol, they should've took a look at CTE and realized that Jeezy can't get an artist out to save his life. Slick Pulla was supposed to drop in early '07!

That nigga shouldn't have got locked up... he missed his chance.

I don't think Jeezy has shown any real ability to pick talent but its all good I suppose. Atlantic needs help.

Niggas need to make their own labels though and revolutionize the industry.

Agreed on the talent part, but if it was that easy to just "make a label" and develop successful artist the industry would have been revolutionized.
