beasley is tweener. not big enough to be a true pf, and not quick enough to guard wing players. if he was 6'10 he would be straight; but he's around 6'7, 6'8 and not very explosive

yea i noticed that durin his rookie year.....hes better suited to jus try and gain some quickness and be a SF cus hes not strong enough to play in the post at all

Beasley is going to be a solid pro once he finds his niche. He isn't a star player but he will be a great second or third piece. Rose on the other hand is a franchise Point Guard. Whats funny is that I thought Eric Gordan was gonna be better than Rose but Rose quickness is just crazy. He reminds me of a stronger and more athletic Stephan Marbury. They both have that first step that is crazy.

Avg 16 points and 7 rebounds in your second yr aint bum like considering Jermaine Oneal and Dwayne Wade are the main opitions.

I thought Beasley would be better immediately, but Rose would be better in the long run. So much for that

Beasley is second after Wade.

You really can't compare the two, they both play different positions plus rose has to do more for his team than beasley who plays with d-wade and jermaine o'neal but both teams need help

Regardless avg 16 points and 7 boards a game in your second season is not a stat line of a bum as the other poster mentioned.

What? Beasley is a bum? He is averaging 16 per game and has been playing well at both ends of the court. The best thing to happen to him was getting drafted by the Heat. Playing for a team that holds their players accountable and stresses defense and hardwork. He will be an All Star real soon.

Eric Gordon is another 1....i thought he would be a top scorer in the league, real fast....and at the time i was heated that the Knicks passed on him

Danilo Galinari >>>> Eric Gordon

YES I SAID THAT SHIT

na i aint sayin Beasley is a bum....but in college he played aggressively, in the pro's it looks like he lost that fire or somethin

I think it's the system that's altering his game, Beasley dominated the ball in college, while in Miami he is playing with Wade who needs the ball in his hands. If he were drafted by a different team he might have been doing the same things like he did in college.

This is 1000 percent correct. Beasley is a monster, but because he plays with Wade, and he plays the same position as our seasoned vet Udonis Haslem, he does not get the same PT as Rose, except in garbage time. I personally get to see Beasley and have seen him develop, I think there is no one PF who can guard him, now defensively he has his liabilities but those are overblown. They gave Rose full control of the team, and I have no doubt if they had done the same with Beasley he would be 20,10 easily.

Yo Beasley didn't have a chance to shine when he started like Rose did, as soon as Chicago got Rose he was there starting pt guard but Miami had Beasley coming off the bench. Beasley gonna be a nice player in the future though I can tell dude just keeps getting better and better.

Judging players so early in their career's and physical development is nonsense. These guys are 20-21 years old; Beasley is going to get quicker and stronger, and I have a feeling he'll still be better than Rose. Give him time to mature mentally and his body to develop and you'll see. He's having a great season, too. Basketball is more than stats (but he still has good stats) so just watching him play you can tell he's good. The guy can shoot on the pull up, is quick compared to most PF's and is athletic and coordinated.

You've never stood next to the average NBA player because most of them are an inch or two, sometimes more, shorter than listed.

i think we all knew this....regardless, Beasley is to small to play PF and not athletic enough to play the 3...

But i do think he'll get better and be a good scorer in the league

Tommy Bilfiger shut your ignorant ass up.

lmao....word he definitely wildin talkin about Beasley lookin like Adam Morrison

from my question in the thread, what i mean is....Beasley looks like a decent NBA player so far, Rose looks like a star right now

I think it's the system he's playing in, he doesn't have the green light to jack up shots or do what he wants like Rose does. If they switched places Rose wouldn't dominate the ball as much in Miami and since he is not a spot up shooter he would struggle in Miami's system. While Beasley would have been given the green light to dominate the ball and do what he wants.

yo millz i think you should mod the cheapseats btw.

.

thats true...but Chicago did wind up makin the right pick because Luol Deng is still a real good player at the 3, and now goin into this year they got cap relief to add a star player to add to that group they already got
and its always easier IMO to build around a PG then around a wing player (unless his name is Lebron, Wade, or Melo)

right now im a mod w/o powers....smfh lol
