Fresh playboy, don't know if its the grease but you have a lot of buildup.

Gone head and face reality g

Nigga! I had yet to wash the conditioner outta my hair when that picture was taken, so the very visible white film is in fact the said conditioner.

Looking good!

Here's a simple avocado mask recipe I did the other day:

1 very ripe avocado

2 tbsp honey

3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (evoo)

Blend all ingredients in a nutribullet or blender until creamy and smooth. Apply to hair, leave on for 30mins with a plastic shower cap or plastic grocery bag over head to trap heat, then thoroughly rinse out.

The healthy fats in the avocado are perfect for hair, honey is a natural humectant (it draws moisture in from the air, thus keeping hair more moisturized), and evoo is an overall great oil for natural hair.

Try it when you get the chance!

Is that good for locs as well, seems like it would be hard to rinse all the way out? I would hate to get the build up I keep getting accused of having. @SixSickSins‌

Lmao! As long as you blend it to the consistency of a conditioner, you should be fine. Blend WELL and you're good.

Nappyknots i know we're not seeing eye to eye (well atleast on your end) at the moment. But due explain to him that's build up

Say @ohmars post a pic of it now nh

What are y'all washing and conditioning with. Ive been using Giovanni's at home with good results.

I switch mine up about every 3 months:

I use Barry Fletcher products

Shea moisture

Getting ready to use Treseme naturals line. I use to use treseme years ago and it was good.

Since you switch up so frequently, which brand has given you the best results. Once I find a product I tend to stick with it.

@OhMars‌ the best one so far has been the shea moisture line of products:

tried this one first and it was ok

But this one made my hair feel so soft and manageable

Appreciate this post. I have a short fro. I think this may help.

I dont like dreadsocks i like my hair to breathe.

The thing on my head earlier in the thread is the most ill do.

Im at mid back now i can use my own dreads to make a ponytail nh. Been waiting for this point.

Recently ive been thinking about fading the sides of my head and letting the rest keep growing.

I always liked the look, i mean when you want to hang you still can but when you want to pull back it gives a different look.

What yall think.

What material is it made of. Cotton can suck all the moisture outta your hair

I like the taper look but i wouldn't personally do it because im trying to transition into the corporate world, that's going to be hard as it is with just regular dread styles

@ShiveDreadz‌

Nah im not talking about the taper look i almost rock that right now, im talking about completely fading the sides and keeping it growing up top, like you see some guys rocking the "frohawks".

Its not made of cotton, its like a net kinda. At this point all i really have to worry about is the roots staying together after a fresh twist.
