Jay called him Misses Drizzy and Drake said no misses, only hits, the misses is for the married folk. Song came out literally a couple days after Jay's track. plus Drake was out of town when Jay's track dropped and was talking about getting dissed while out of town in the song.

As to your point, I don't see why Drake needed to drop a "Back to Back" on him or anything. Jay threw a pretty harmless shot at Drake and Drake threw one back. This wasn't a "beef" or a battle. It was two rappers trading competitive shots.

Meek, on the other hand, directly challenged Drake's integrity as an artist and was clearly in his emotions and making it personal. Different thing entirely if you ask me. And none of this is to say that Drake would ever engage in a full on rap battle with Jay. I don't think either of them would. It just doesn't make any sense. (But yes, if it came to it, I think Drake would lose, although I don't think it would be a bodybag).

I remember a nauseatingly long thread about the We Made It freestyle and the subsequent Draft Boy song in which niggas argued for damn near two weeks about whether Jay said "misses" or "mister" and whether the "hits no misses" line was a diss, much less aimed at Jay.
