Reading these post has me shaking my head in amazement. Elzhi is arguable the dopest MC coming out of the D. Yall nuccas acting like he basically rapping Nas rhymes all over again. He did his thing on this mixtape... lyrically he will chew up 99.9 % of the game. Listen to the mxtape and tell me different...

THANK YOU GOOD SIR

God damn. Dude aint even trying to rhyme like Nas really. It's an interpretation of a classic. Of course he's gonna use some elements of the rhyme scheme but it isn't like an exact theft of the Nasir's flow.

That's a question you have to ask that man. FYI, the music is original, the concept is the same. He is not doing a Karaoke session. All I'm saying is this cat is dope, Period. If you listen to the mixtape or anything else he ever dropped Son can spit...

I would like to add that they made these beats from scratch and put their own twist on them. Plus all the flows are different. Yall act like he spit the same verses.

This mixtape is very dope. yall really need to give it a listen before commenting.

Elzhi is arguably the GOAT, and this mixtape is a classic, original beats or not. Love Royce's verse on Life's a Bitch too by the way. Nuff said.

I've been putting people on to Elzhi for awhile.

He's really stepped his pen game up since leaving Slum Village.

A lot of cool tracks are out there with him, Royce, and Black Milk as well.

Too bad J. Dilla isn't around still but Black Milk is doing the Detroit sound justice...

Dope mixtape overall he killed The World is Yours. His opening verse on that track was classic. They don't make rappers like him no more.

see, i made it a point to not listen to a lot of the early mixtapes where dudes where dudes were just all over everyone else's beats.
like, if a song was recommended, i wasn't messing with it. definitely skipped over all the "homage" mixtapes as well.

in other words, i'm not completely exhausted with the concept of someone over someone else's beats like a lot of other people might be.

with that said...INCREDIBLE. He was cool w/ Slum Village, but he really caught my attention with his feature on The Minstrel Show album. What he did with this mixtape is disgusting (no J. Cole - no flushing)
