My point isn't as much about this particular case as it is about racism in general. It's better for people like her to be open with their racism so we know who exactly to avoid than to have these people in the closet acting on their racism without our knowledge.

Grand Jury will not indict Texas ex-cop caught on video attacking black teen girl

A grand jury in Colin County, Texas opted on Thursday not to indict former McKinney police Officer Eric Casebolt for throwing a teenage girl to the ground last June, KTXA-TV reported.

The jurors determined there was not enough evidence to prosecute Casebolt, who resigned amid heavy criticism for his actions against the girl.

“We’re glad that they system worked in his favor in this case,” Casebolt’s attorney, Tom Mills, told the Dallas Morning News.

Casebolt was caught on video forcing Dajerria Becton to the ground after a confrontation at a pool party. Becton said at the time that she was trying to leave the area when Casebolt — who arrived on the scene doing a barrel roll — threw her down.

“He grabbed me, twisted my arm on my back and shoved me in the grass and started pulling the back of my braids,” she said, adding that Casebolt did not arrest her.
