I've heard and seen some hilarious shit but making light of flat out incompetence is not whoa.
Nurse Jackie is wack as fuck to me because I haven't worked in a hospital where nurses have enough down time to fuck like rabbits in broom closets. I've known of coworkers getting it in but never at work, it was usually some outside shit that everyone at work found out about. I barely have time to piss at work, much less sneak around and fuck.
And yes, there are a lot of nurses that abuse drugs but Edie Falco does the mother fucking MOST.
I just honestly wish there were no television depictions of nurses.
In House and Grey's they make us look like overpaid waitresses.
In Nurse Jackie they make us look like incompetent, irresponsible, insubordinate nymphomaniac drug abusers.
When will they show a real depiction of a nurse? You know, the one that wipes asses, gives/verifies meds, and charts till her nails start peeling?
The last acceptable depiction of a nurse was in MASH.
