Would You Care If Your Favorite Rapper Used A Ghost Writer On One Of His Songs?

I just don't wanna hear anymore "I'm the greatest rapper" talk in any more of your verses if you didn't write all your own stuff

If the music is good then I'll still listen but in my mind you're now a pop diva like Beyonce

I know for a fact my favorite MC has used a ghostwriter or "collaborated" with others on curtain hooks for songs. That doesn't bother me as a oppose to half or all an albums worth of songs.

It shouldn't matter if a rapper says he or she us the greatest if you never believed it in the first place. It only holds as much weight as you believe it. No rapper gonna come out saying they're the second best anyhow.

If I were a successful rapper and I found out that another, more successful and effeminate rapper that I had previously collaborated with and respected had a ghostwriter I'd prolly go on twitter and expose that nigga and I bet he wouldn't do shit about it.

It just screams fraudulent. It's different if rap wasn't a competitive genre where dudes didn't go for the top spot, but it is. The fact that rappers want to talk big and bad about being a GOAT and coming for the crown but got another nigga writing their rhymes is wack as fuck

On a huge pop single, no, i wouldn't care

It's business

As longs he wrote all the deep, introspective shit I'm good

Then he'd instantly lose credibility to me. You gotta write ALL the verses bruh. I don't give a shit about choruses. But the verses are a different story.

That's what im sayin

A pop song js sold off the chorus most the time

All thru rap history there has been songs wherr the rapper was fed a concept/hook and then they did the verses around that. That's the music business.

Im not gonna knock bob for not comin up wit nothin on u all by himself lol

as long as they don't Fully rely on ghost writers and take full credit for a ghost written song, I don't really care.

My favorite rapper yes...a rapper in general whose music I like it would depend on the songs. Like anything personal has to come from you or it just seems fake compared to someone actually writing their own emotions. See "I'll Be Missing You" vs "We'll Always Love Big Poppa" for example
