Nah. He's trying to get him to be who he says he is.

If he was God or the Son of God what would it matter if proved himself? Nothing........if he was who he said he was.

Whatever you say bruh.....

Let's be realistic here for a minute.

You have to two biggest rivals in all of creation and this is what happens? GTFOH.

Besides God has killed more people than Satan has.

Nobody ever fights a war in the name of Satan

Nigga, Satan wasn't a liberator....

He was too.

He's an imitator, deceiver and perverter.

Exactly....

How was he a liberator when he WANTED to be The Most High?

He even tried to get Christ to bow down to him and reverence his as God.

IF anything, Satan was the first and greatest bitch ass nigga/hater.

Ole envious ass bitch....

Exactly...

Let's look at it shall we:

Matthew 4:1-11

New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness

4 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”

4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:

“‘He will command his angels concerning you,

and they will lift you up in their hands,

so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[c]”

7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[d]”

8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’[e]”

11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

Seems to me Satan was trying to get Jesus to be who he says he is. Be yourself.

I think the last request was Satan just trolling. Remember Satan knew God personally and as we see in Job he still visited heaven to talk to God and he still put in work for God. What could Satan had done had Jesus proved who he was? Nothing. Jesus could've ended all this do called source of evil right then and there but he knew that Satan wasn't the source.

Stop it ether..just stop lying.

The reason The Messiah didn't do those things and give in to the temptation because it would've exhibited one thing that The Most High hates: PRIDE. i.e. the pride of life.

Yeah, Christ could have easily done those things but Satan would had something to accuse Christ of to the Most High (like he did Job) because that what Satan is: an accuser of the brethren (Hebrew: Ha-satan meaning "enemy" "adversary" "accuser")...good try of using your twisted interpretation.

Using the bible to attack the bible is a retarded argument strategy. If you don't believe in it's divinity don't use it as a point of reference.

God hates pride? LOL That's what he's full of; pride, jealousy, anger, bitterness etc...

God hates himself, half of the commandments god tells man not to do, god does in the bible.

So much for following the leader!

I fuck with ya boy lucifer though, Amen

Fixed for accuracy.

Yes. The Most High hates pride.

God is SO bitter towards lucifer and his "betrayal" that he cast him down from heaven. Right in the book it says how much god loved him.

God is a jealous god (straight from the book)

God gets angry and kills masses of people, an instance like the great flood comes to mind...the wrath of god

God has so much pride he let job lose everything just to prove a point to the devil.

Now where has lucifer exhibited any of those traits? I have time....
