Sampling being killed and the South killing hiphop are 2 separate issues.

Sampling is part of the essence of rap though. The south popularized this synthesized music we hear now. What I wanted to discuss was whether or not this was one of the key events that's led to rap we see now

Maybe I communicated that incorrectly
