Chinese people, and Japanese people for that matter, aren't at all weak-minded. Many Asian cultures are fairly accurately stereotyped as fostering much more withstanding, determined, and intelligent people than the Western world does.

Many of the constant social / political pressures in those countries far exceed anything Americans / Europeans deal with. That is why the suicide rate is so high, not because they're weak minded.
