Its fans going out of their way to compare everything to the Attitude Era, for WWE its history, for the most part they are past that shit.
The days of RAW ratings being in the 7s & 8s, 500+ buys for PPVs in May or June are over, the standards are much lower. There are a lot of reasons for that but one is that wrestling just isn't as mainstream as it used to be.
