We already had one....3rd Base back in the early 90's.......MC Search and Pete Nice...they were accepted because they were dope emcees spitting ill rhymes and not making some gimmicky ass bullshit like .....HI my Name Is..........some of there good joints: Get the Gas Face, Step into the AM, Pop goes the weazel (a song dissing pop rap artist, Hammer got the business in the video)

Marshall is not a bad rapper. He is a good rapper but the way he is overblown by his white audience claiming he is the GOAT and Greatest Rapper Alive who has great content when he is not those things just makes me dislike him more than I should dislike a good rapper. It just feels like the white people are giving him the Elvis treatment, blowing him out of proportion for being one white guy that does something that blacks do and have done better traditionally. Add Bird to Elvis and that's what Eminem is to hip hop and the rap game

Disagree about Bird, my dad saw the whole thing, lived through it and he says Bird was a volume shooter. People be calling Bird top 10 all time and I don't think he really is.

Serch was the first universally accepted white rapper that the bruthas gave love to but he was a Jew that had a hi-top Jew-fro and he could dance like a brutha so he had some extra blessings to get his bronze ghetto-pass.

Paul "Jamal" Wall gets love and he's accepted but he's a Mulengeon and has a Black wife and mixed son.

In order to be accepted 100% the white rapper would have to have skills, some style. some Soul, and a thumbs up from the Sista's always helps.

He couldnt be racist like Emenim or a Hick like Haystak, or a Red-neck like Kid Rock, or a weirdo like Necro, or a nerd like Atmosphere, or a geek like Ahser Roth, or a poser like Vanilla Ice.

He would have to be more like LiL Whyte, Paul Wall, Alchemist, or Vinnie Paz...(or like Jon B. & Robin Thicke)

Well the Beastie Boys were accepted by the Black audience for their first album it's still a classic from the hood to the burbs they went too left on the rest of their albums.3rd Bass I still listen that Catcus album. It seem at least to me when Em first came out he was accepted but he is definitely not now. I seems Paul Wall is accepted by the brothers. I think the only way the next white rapper is accepted he will have to have been raised by a black women in the hardest hood , been to prison be the first white dude to become an official BGF member, at least two Black baby mamas. Then and only then will a white rapper will be accepted by all Blacks.

Em, is accepted. Only place ive seen him get rejected is on here. If im in a music store and see a Em cd, i just think “he fell off“. Same as many other listeners i talk to face to face.

Other that, mr what it do?

Paul Wall stays collaborating with Bay Area artist.

Volume shooter? Nah, AI was a volume shooter. Bird didn't even average 20 shots a game for his career. And by the way he shot 50% and 38% from 3, and who could D up. Top 10 easy.

the funny thing is white rappers dont even get long term support from a considerable amount of white fans. Word to asher roth and sam adams even being left behind by the white bandwagon fans they had. Sure they will always have a handful of fans but the majority of white fans large scale have blown them off. Mac Miller Despite still having a considerable white fan base is leveling off if not slightly decreasing after best day ever was a step back from the kids mixtape. As much as mediocre/lame white artists still get mainstream exposure thanks to skin color/great white hope syndrome they really dont last long considering the fact that there is a larger white fanbase buying albums.

It pains me to say, but being accepted by blacks doesn't sell records and make you money. Who is the majority record buyers? Fuck acceptance, get paid!

em is accepted, i dont hear niggas sayin em is not hip hop or he cant rap. i would even say he is not only accepted but also highly respected. he is just culturally different and most blacks cant relate to his music.

What about Yelawolf, I am not saying he is the best, but I haven't heard anything disrespectful about hip-hop or black folk come out his mouth (n/h). His rhymes are at least decent as well.
