There is ANOTHER Nat Turner movie in the works with big name stars attached to it from what I saw . Bill Duke is listed as the director.

My take on this is, the bigger the budget. The more hands in the pot and more white washed it will be.

I stopped giving a shit about Will Smith's input as a creative mind rather than an actor who should do his fucking job after he said the changes to I Am Legend came about after Tom Cruise advised him to make changes or he'd walk. It's a fucking classic story and they honestly thought they could make it better. It's bullshit. I'm not saying there aren't folks who can act/produce/write/direct but the number that can do so successfully is very small. Ben Stiller, Justin Theroux, Jackie Earle Haley, Elizabeth Banks, Katherine Bigelow... Tom Cruise is great in Tom Cruise movies but he hasn't been in anything else for a long time. Will Smith picks a favourite and then forces them to be cast opposite him for successive movies. See Eva Mendez and Rosario Dawson, now it's Margot Robbie. After Earth pretty much sealed the deal for me.
