You just named platinum selling artists that were game changers in their respective genres. Nas in the early 90s with the bible of rap, Kellz brough R&B into the 21st century and Chris Brown was one of the biggest singing acts during his rise.

Meek isn't a platinum selling artist with any game changing shit. He is just a slightly better ace hood with some dope storytelling tracks in his mixtapes. He will still be around make no mistake about it. But i doubt he will ever have quality music like DC1 and 2 ever again combined with the buzz and fanfare.

Yes his albums went gold. Most decent rappers go gold everyday with the cheat codes now. But in 2012 Meek had the mixtape of the summer. Can't say any of his albums were the album of their season or time period.

when meek got out of jail and went on his girls tour the buzz was not about his music it was about his L's vs Drake and him dating nikki. DC2 buzz was based off his music and who meek was not who had him on a leash (nikki). in 2012 i was in NYC, Hartford, New Haven and Waterbury for periods of times.
