But that's simply not true, and your supposed proof (the Fermi Paradox) doesn't even support that.

For goodness sake, it's nothing more than a question that has a bunch of huge assumptions attached.

It pares discussion down to the Milky Way because the universe is too large to even ask such a question.

It assumes that no aliens have ever been to the Earth.

It assumes that if aliens came to the Earth we would be able to detect their presence despite the fact that such beings would have to be far more advanced than us.

It assumes that if intelligent life existed somewhere else it would last for the millions of years needed to colonize the galaxy.

It's a reasonable question, but to equate it with knowledge that precludes the existence of extraterrestrial life. If the evidence was as strong as you say, then you'd think that all the prominent astronomers and cosmologists would believe that no aliens exist, but as far as I know, that's not the case.
