One thing about me, Is I don't kiss any ass and I call it how it is.

That's how my art is too. Ima man of the people, I'm of the community.

The Black community wants something to stand behind but we only coming out when tragedy strikes.

Then its back to if Jay z and Beyoncé will stay together, who got the new sex tape out, and Younging move that dope, all I need is Yayo, it ain't nothing to cut that bitch off

We have no control over our own media and so we get played in the media.

Mike Brown was killed in cold blood, but apparently it was by a black officer.

So like I said before, no this is not a Black vs White Issue, its an American Issue.

An Issue between the American People and the Police departments of America.

What im talking about in this thread isn't a tragedy but its a good reason for the community to come out.

Its what we Love and what we do. MOVIES!

One thing With me is, I'm not afraid to Fail and I don't give up.

We did this film when I was 21-22, I'm 29 now.

That's 7 years, and you know what...10 years from now I'd still be trying if it didn't already come to fruition.

Let it be a lesson to the younger Black Kids, Just do it. Just get the work Done.

Maybe you'll get the support maybe you wont, shit maybe you wont need it.

At the end of the day, your still the guy that got it done.

Never had a Benz, BMW, Mercedes or any of that kinda shit, never had no Gucci or versaci but who gives a shit

For the past 7 years My black ass been Having this movie that I wrote,directed, believed in, carried out and executed.

Everybody cant say that, because it isn't an everyday occurrence. Yet you roll with the punches.

I'll get this in stores some way some how, even if this isn't the way.....but its is part of the story

Only time will tell what happens

I'm gonna give you some advice. You can take it however though. From those videos I've seen you need higher quality cameras. Also, I'm broke, but if I did have money I would invest.

Those videos were uploaded @ a time when youtube was only accepting a certain amount of mb and if the file was too big u had to shrink it.Not to mention those are not movie clips and those are not shot with a canon.

My movie is HD top quality shot on 3 differrnt digital camcorders, this is what the funding would do, allow me to repackage the trailer, edit the film, and begin distributing it.

Very nice. I am an aspiring movie director/writer/producer myself but I plan on keeping my day job

I know what you are going through when you have a vision, it never leaves you and you can't stop thinking about. Keep pursuing your goal!

I would suggest you look for the following sources of funding in addition to crowd sourcing.

1) A community group that you think would be receptive to your movie

2) A local arts group

3) family/friends ( you have probably done this )

4) Find a 'whale' or two. A person with deep pockets who can get you all the way or a good part to your goal.

5) Go post this also in 'lights/cam/action', they are always complaining about white Hollywood, lack of diversity, let them put their money where their mouth is

Now, I went a different route in making mine so I don't have budgetary issues and I just did it for fun to amuse myself but I do think there may be a person or two besides me who gets the joke and that's all that matters to me.

I set a hard date for myself to finish and will be done this year and have book a studio for my movie premiere with mostly my friends that will turn in to a big drinking fest and fun so I am stoked about it.

Keep trying and don't give up!

I'm dedicating the film to a young actor in the film that died.I have to keep my promise to him.He played the younger verdion of my character whose name is moomi after mumia abu jamal.

I made a film and I have a crowdfunding site to help with post production which is very expensive.

That's where we're at right now.
