The NBA does suck, I hardly even watch games anymore, its funny cause basketball was my favorite sport growing up

Its just not as entertaining as it used to be.

Same here.

Players stopped giving a fuck in the late 90's/early 2000's.. The deals they get from Nike/Reebok these days have them set for life before they even touch NBA hardwood.

Players like Iverson/Kobe put in 100% every night. What about the other 99% of players in the league? They half ass it up and down the court.

I hate the way they ref games these days too, the NBA fell off bad when they changed to those "touch foul" rules

Bunch of non defense playing ass niggas

Murder your self i didnt read after the first line..

FOH your regurgitating talking points of.."back in my day" two handed chest pass ass motherfuckers.. The NBA is different period.. its been typecasted and stereotyped and its been gobbled up.. Many people felt that when MJ retired the NBA died.. thats a Casual fan.. The globalization of the game also made it Different.. its no less than it was before.. nostalgia is a bitch

Every thing that you said about the NBA I can say about the NFL

You can't tell me that people care about the Jaguars or the Panthers or the Texans I mean there are many teams in the league that nobody cares about

Also free agency is about the same in the NFL, superstar players don't move that much kind of like QB's but role players move in both sports

The biggest difference between the NBA and the NFL is white players being in prominate roles and just playing period

How many minority fans do you see in the area, you don't think it is Ironic that Brain Scalabrine had the second highest selling jersey. Two years ago Birdman sold more jerseys than Melo, so you telling me if Melo was white people wouldn't be crazy fans of his

Main Things that suck:

Refs w/ faulty foul/technical foul calls
Lack of dominant Centers
Lets be honest, the outcomes are predictable in too many cases.
Bobcats Jerseys
Bobcats existence
Raptors existence

So the Browns bring it every sunday LOL stop it

I perfer the NFL but I would be lying to you if after Monday night football I don't want some kind of fix through the week. Also Football season is less than half the year so after the Super Bowl it is a long wait till kickoff of the season

I mean Lebron went back to Cleveland on a tuesday night, what other sport can give you something to work with every night of the week

One question I have for you is what two teams would you hand pick to make your ideal super bowl cause the NFL is full of mediocre teams, I mean what team out there now could compete with any great team of the past.

Bro you just hating, the Chargers can't even sell out the stadium with a great QB. Don't act like the NFL is perfect. The bottom line is that football not the NFL appeals more to the every day man because it takes more skill to be in the NBA. You can be a 300 pound fat guy running around and be considered a great athlete. The NFL is not bigger than the NFL in New York or LA. It's kind of like politics Democrates vs. Repulicans where the bigger cities like Dems but the Arkansas, and Kansas, of the world you get the rest.

But you can't tell me that the NFL needs the Jags, Texans, Panthers, Tampa etc I mean there are countless ones

Bad Calls LOL you can't tell me the NFL doesn't suffer from this just as much, the whole lets just throw it up and get pass interference, the hits to the head the I grazed a QB add on 15 shit. I love the NFL but it really has gotten to a point where you should just throw it up every play to a reciever deep and hope for PI

Lets be honest, the outcomes are predictable in too many cases : That is very true LA, Boston, Miami and a few other teams are very predictable that one of these teams will win but let me ask you this what would you have done with a NYJ and CHI superbowl cause we were very close You can't tell me that when the Seahawks and Cards made the Bowl it didn't loss some luster

WRONG.

Jaguars were in the playoffs a couple times in the past few years, and they almost made it again this year.

Panthers were also in the playoffs a couple years ago (I remember Delhomme throwing 5 INTs in 1 playoff game not too long ago).

Texans were a playoff contender this year and have the best WR in the league.

Also free agency is about the same in the NFL, superstar players don't move that much kind of like QB's but role players move in both sports

NFL = Franchise Tag

NBA = No franchise tag

And losing 1 player in the NFL doesnt devastate a team the same way it does in the NBA.

The biggest difference between the NBA and the NFL is white players being in prominate roles and just playing period

SMH. You trying to turn it into a race issue when all the legitimate points I brought up in the OP had nothing to do with that. SMH.

the main problem with the nba the refs. They call some bullshit and when the player gets upset its tech. Refs have too much power ruins basketball

You obviously didn't read the OP.

16 game season vs. 50+ game season.

Franchise tag vs. No franchise tag.

Parity vs. Dream Teams

etc etc etc...

learn to read.

1. You insist on making comparisons to the NFL while I was just staying on topic and speaking on the NBA. This thread was made to discuss the NBA, not the NFL. I love the NFL and NBA how am I "hating" lol. That doesn't mean there aren't problems with how things are sometimes.

Side note since you brought it up: When the Cards made the Super Bowl they had Kurt Warner, Fitz, Boldin...exciting team. I don't care about the franchise history as long as the team is exciting and dynamic That Season.

they do have bird rights to try and help teams sign their players to contracts

yea but no franchise tag = "have whatever rights you want, i'm still leaving".

Theres no way in hell LeBron wouldve got out of Clevaland if there was a franchise tag. And if he really wanted out that badly, it wouldve been a fair tag-and-trade situation where Cleveland wouldve got something decent in return. LeBron for Wade. Instead, Bron leaves Cleveland and they get nothing in return and will suck for the next 15 years while he creates a dream team in Miami. The rich get richer, and Cleveland fades into Bolivia (tyson quote).

All those die hard Cavalier fans lose interest in the sport and stop watching the NBA. It's happened to so many cities. Thats why NBA ratings are in the shitter while NFL literally gets the highest ratings in the world.

Exactly.

I was trying to give the NBA it's own fair assessment. Comparing it to the NFL is fighting an uphill battle that youll never win. NFL shits on the NBA in so many ways.
