Just got back from my usual club spot and this were the songs I've heard from my recollection:

2 Chainz "I'm Different" and "Birthday Song"

Kanye West, Pusha T, Big Sean, 2 Chainz "Mercy"

Kendrick Lamar "Swimming Pools"

Lil Boosie "Swerve"

Lil Wayne "No Worries"

Trinidad James "All Gold Everything"

Rick Ross "Hold Me Back"

T.I. and Lil Wayne "Ball"

Future "Turn On The Lights" "Same Damn Time"

Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Wale', T-Pain "Bag Of Money"

Master P "Break Em Off Something"

Juvenile "Back That Azz Up"

Tyga "Rack City"

Just from memory...

Once again: Does any of these songs play in NYC clubs? And if not, what songs are played?

Basically everything except Boosie, Master P and Trinidad James. But Reggae like Vybez Kartel, Mr Vegas, Mavado, Gyptian etc gets a lot of play. Reggaeton gets spins too. Its not the same Music All night in clubs in NYC too many cultures.

So I got that wack for nothing..lol.

Believe it or not reggae gets played down here as well...it's plenty of versatility depending on the DJ..and I believe versatility is the problem with the club music, imo. But the ones you mentioned, their party/club joints are main staples regardless if you think they're wack. Trinidad James is a new cat and I'm not a fan but that "All Gold Everything" is catching fire in the club.

Just because its party music doesn't mean they have to be complete illegal, violent, chauvinist, disrespectful and ignorant in each song.

Since when did a good time involve selling dope, getting your bitch took or having rich niggas at the club or anywhere flashing their money in your face.

I think you OP are just trying to defend the fact that you might be retarded because you favor retarded music...

Nothing to be ashamed of really

since when has rap not been about drugs, hoes, and money

what, like since before NWA, that was over 30 years ago b

most major albums since then have involved those things

Good point..lmao. But I've actually heard a DJ play those songs. The niggas will nod their heads hard to "U Don't Know" because it's gritty and the beat knocks hard. But "Niggas In Paris"?..I'm sure a few females could twerk to that...

How many club songs do Jay actually have you could dance to in the club?

nothing wrong with party music.

the problem is the over-abundance of wack party music.

the problem is that a lot of these rappers are not 'artists' and hve no depth--- and these 'party' songs are all about material shit.

the problem is the lack of creativity.

party music has always had a place in hip hop and always will.
