What gets played in the club in 2012 is way different then what got played in 2002.

yes and no. I mean, it may seem like it on the surface... but it's still the same general thing in my mind.

People still talk about gettin fucked up, sleepin with women, material possessions, gettin money etc.

The main intent is still to dance and get people goin.

most poster in the ic have never been to a club/ were never invited to parties during high school/college and have no idea that tracks like that can make a party and get you laid after bubbling right to one of those tracks with a g. So they hate on it , they see rap as something you bump by yourself and let in influence their emotions or as a education tool since they're to lazy to read a book

LOL but cats need to explore options to get hoes outside of the parties and clubs. You don't have to be some extroverted cat to get girls.

Its a matter of what era you come from. Your Jay, Pac, Biggie listeners will never party with a Cheif Keef, Waka, Travis Porter listener.

The damn truth. Fucked up part about it is that these cats hate when someone states their opinion.

yall see how one person says french montana is the worst, another says future is the worst, someone else says soulja boy is worst etc? and thats the problem...a bunch of horrible rappers looking for a quick buck at the expense of impressionable youth...and even the adults buy in to this garbage...oh and i go to the club too and party here in detroit so i understand that this music gets the girls ready but that doesnt mean we should be subjected to trash party music...what happened to making worthy party tracks like DMX did, de la soul, tribe called quest, diddy, tupac, furious five? i guess hearing songs about girls poppin pussy and stripping is what the world has come to...when yall sisters/daughters/nieces/cousins/goddaughters start doing that shit dont get mad at the game...be mad at yourselves for accepting this nonsense

I blame the strip club simping culture getting out of hand the last 8 years. People got brainwashed thinking that the club is the end all to be all to get a chance of getting a chick. I also blame people that kick down other people for thinking outside the box and not go to the club often.

Great party song by a great Mc.

But, But you cant do great dances like The Jerk, Crank Dat, Dougie, Stanky Leg or The Money Dance to this your limited to the Harlem Shake.

This generation likes to have fun and actually dance.

This is dancing

actual choreography and rhythm

Today's club scene is just getting down with a chick and grinding on her ass, which is nothing wrong with that.

But don't ever confuse actual dancing with grinding on a chick.

the fuck?

Real shit. Cats today are lost. The party track with good lyrics is a lost art of its own. Cats who are narrow minded are shaming other people cause they don't share their view as them.

Just got back from my usual club spot and this were the songs I've heard from my recollection:

2 Chainz "I'm Different" and "Birthday Song"

Kanye West, Pusha T, Big Sean, 2 Chainz "Mercy"

Kendrick Lamar "Swimming Pools"

Lil Boosie "Swerve"

Lil Wayne "No Worries"

Trinidad James "All Gold Everything"

Rick Ross "Hold Me Back"

T.I. and Lil Wayne "Ball"

Future "Turn On The Lights" "Same Damn Time"

Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Wale', T-Pain "Bag Of Money"

Master P "Break Em Off Something"

Juvenile "Back That Azz Up"

Tyga "Rack City"

Just from memory...

Just because its party music doesn't mean they have to be complete illegal, violent, chauvinist, disrespectful and ignorant in each song.

Since when did a good time involve selling dope, getting your bitch took or having rich niggas at the club or anywhere flashing their money in your face.

I think you OP are just trying to defend the fact that you might be retarded because you favor retarded music...

Nothing to be ashamed of really

Based on the t/s defensive nature and him tellin people "they don't play certain east coast artist music in clubs", this sounds like a undercover "why do u hate the south?" thread.

i cant believe this thread is 5 pages deep and no one stepped up and let you know the difference between the coonery we see today vs REAL party music when hip hop first started ....???????????????????????????????

what yall hearing isnt party music by any means ... its death music ... aka drug music .... aint no dancing going on ???? @ the most the tempo and flow of the track is the only thing that makes it DANCEABLE ..... lyrically its poison music druggy music dead end music fantasy music ..... and everything else outside of that is STRIP CLUB MUSIC !! there was a major difference between LL Cool J who made club music vs 2 Live Crew who made STRIP CLUB Music ....... these days theres no difference ... strip club music gets more play on the kids show 106npack then it does in the actual strip club ......... :(

Cats think that grinding on a chick's ass is "dancing." Nah, it's just whore rituals.
