ha true. I'm starting to see more Big KRIT lines and videos pop up in my newsfeed. I know nobody on my friendslist was checkin for that nigga a year ago. But as long as ppl are getting put on to good music, I can't hate a person just cuz' they aint know about them earlier.

The problem is its a new generation and this generation was never raised on on the real hip hop of our generation so they only speak about what they can relate to. With this being the ADD generation rappers like Lil Wayne who can only hold a subject for about 6 bars appeal to the kids nowadays because a rapper like Nas or even KRS One would just confuse em. When I came up listening to rap in the 90s I still respected and listened to rap from the Golden Age and appreciated for the time period.

Ha ha I had a convo with a cat about Carter IV, I went through every track with him and asked him what each track was about. I was like what is track 2 about, he like "uhhhh he rappin bout how he hot". I said track 4, "uhhh he talkin bout how umm ya know he be gettin money", I said what is "She Will" about? He like "bout a stripper that might get down for the team" I said naw Drakes chorus about that but "Wayne talk about 15 different things in his 2 verses and only a few bars are actually about a girl. Basically he just shut up and ended on "well he still hot". I found no reason to continue the convo after that. Sad thing is I"m glad he didn't bring up Watch The Throne because it would have been hard for me to defend a lot of the songs on there too.

It's more difficult arguing face to face than on a forum because here you have evidence at your fingertips. You can pull up a rapper's catalog, lyrics, album sales, etc instantly. In person, no matter what you say can go in one ear and out the other because ultimately, music is subjective.

I think maybe someone has said this earlier, but I find it much harder to debate anything with people on forums rather than in real life.

In person you can actually debate whether its about Madlib, Mayweather or cool adidas high tops. Wheras on forums people seem to turn into children and refuse to actually debate with you. They either drop a link to something which they think proves their point but it isn't a response to what you have said. This is the problem people have an agenda and stick with it and don't listen to what other people say they just go;

"LMFAO 'Wayne is wack'? If he is whack why has he sold this many records...."

If someone fell into a fit of laughter when I told them Wayne was whack in real life then I would let rip and let them have it, or walk away because they are obviously simple.
