thats what im saying most fighters in mma...have no boxing skills...anderson silva is one of the few with any...but the majority of fighters have very limited if any boxing background and are champions and just as successful...the bolded proves my point most cats be swinging wild and not paying for it Silva is one of the very few who knows how to make u pay for it....the rest dont which is why 99% off the time the fights end up on the ground...yeah the fights start standing but...where do they go on the ground and why...cuz most of these cats have very limited stand up game...Silva has decent stand up,Machida,Rampage,Rashard, a few...but most of those cats are grapplers and dont really focus on boxing and mostly if it is stand up its Thai Boxing or some other traditional Eastern style that they had a background in way b4 MMA not after the fact...i think the reason because IMO from experience its easy to teach or rather learn grappling at an advanced age not so much with striking arts such as boxing, tae kwon do,karate, hapkido etc...idk but i know i destroy cats in my fights with my boxing simply because they dont know how to punch or properly react or defend punches...and im not a big power puncher more of a volume guy when i was boxing i punch a lot and im elusive...idk i like MMA but i think Boxing requires more skill and finesse and relies more on it than MMA.
