Why don't the old & Bitter rappers attack Drake??

I don't really like it when the old rappers diss the young guys, whether it is drake or soulja boy or whoever. Even if what they're saying is true it looks corny.

I don't really listen to either of these guys, but from purely a standpoint of marketing and being a hustler, only a total fuck would think Drake deserves his place more than soulja boy. SB was a young kid making songs and videos and using new media to market himself, got himself noticed, got himself signed, my understanding is that it wasn't really like a bidding war or anything. Drake was born into the entertainment industry and his career is largely creation of corporate marketing. Not to say he doesn't have talent or that he didn't work hard, but I love seeing people become successful through bottom up marketing, especially being an innovator like that.

Drake has Cash Money, Rap-A-Lot, and Jay-Z backing him. Do you really think anyone will be successful in trying to end his career. He has been called soft before by rappers. But no one has dared to send that diss to him. It will hurt your future business possibilities.

I guess my question is when did it matter who was backing you on weather or not you could get dissed?

since u like talking generations you can tell us why jay-z leads the way while still embracing new school g's while method man is in his age bracket catching hissy fits .....

tell us how many copies of BP3 40+ jay z sold while method hasn't went platinum in 15 years since u like talking generations ....

fuck your odd obsession with the bashing the new generation when u cant tell the difference between being 40+ and going multi plat and being 40+ going triple wild irish rose ....

Who has JayZ embraced?? JayZ is a business man he will embrace whoever is Hot at the moment so he can sell records.

Method Man didnt throw a Hissy-Fit, he said some real shit that made YOU catch a hissy fit.
Method Man hasnt been platinum in years and either has your Soulja Boy or LiL B.

Alot of Swag-cats are mesmerized by record-sales as if thats the barometer of artistry and value within the culture, other more cerebral and intelligent people gauge an artists value on their musical contributions.

Silly guy, I dont bash generations, I have made countless threads for Kendrick Lemar, Wale, Meek Mills and other new generation rappers that are under 25 whom I respect, I just dont co-sign swaggotry or other faddish trends that followers seem to love.

I'm pretty sure Method Man and Wu Tang will be able to tour longer than Jay Z when both decide to hang up the mic...Wu and Method ahve a stronger fan base...Jay z...though he nice on the mic and will be a Legend if not already is more of a at the moment rapper.....how many cats still lsiten to the Dynasty album...Hard Knock Life 2 album....Kingdom Come album....not many.....You notice how method man is STILL touring without having any recent 'hits'.......his catalogue speaks for itself

what real shit did method man say ? he just bashed niggas who would rather rap about cars hoes and money instead of wu bonics glaciers and killer bees ....

jay z doesn't discriminate he makes moves with young g's and old g's all the while remaining relevant .....
jay z has done well in this shifting market as has nas and other old g's .......

alot of has beens are mesmorized by the golden era as if thats the barometer of greatness and relevance in the culture while other broad minded people value music on what they like not what others feel they should like .....

silly guy I dont drool over numbers .... i've made countless trips to best buy for currensy wale and other skilled mc's who havent fared well number wise in this recording climate .....

Through your rebuttal you seem to miss that valid and critical point about Jay-Z.

when it comes to representing HIP HOP....the Golden Era is the measuring stick for mic skills and the greatness in the Hip Hop culture...just like Jordan is measuring stick in basketball...Ali in Boxing...Carl Lewis/Jesse Owens in track....etc.....

Depending on your level of intelligence and comprehension skills you might be able to take different things from what Method Man said.

I consider myself educated so I took it as Method Man stating that their is an overemphasis on extracurricular things outside of actual lyrical skills in HipHop in 2011 in comparison to 2002 when the emphasis was more lyrically/musically based.

I can see how a person of lesser intellect would focus on the fashion aspect of what he said due to their own insecurities over their own fashion sense.

The overall object of what Method Man said may have been to upset the online swaggott community so that the non-swaggotts can troll them for laughs to see which swaggott can defend swaggottry with the most passion.

Silly guy you been quoting numbers all day and please feel free to post your C.D. collection in the Sticky Thread that I made or else your words ring hollow.

I consider myself educated so I took it as Method Man stating that he is bitter and feels under compensated both financially and acclaim wise for his contributions to the genre....

I could see how a person of bitter descent could soak in his bitterness and use it as a tool to spread hate toward young g's who could care less about them ....

the overall object of what method man said may have been to rile up some publicity for a couple forbez dvd interviews and radio station plugs ....

silly guy you've been posting about generations all day and please feel free to post your family in G&S family picture thread or else your generation talk rings hollow .

The average Swaggott was born during the crack-epedemic (1984-1990) so they have learning disabilities and short attention spans.

They think an attack on "Swag-Culture" is somehow an attack on their entire generation when in fact you have rappers of all ages embracing swaggotry.

Shawty Lo just took a disturbing picture sagging a pair of skinny-jeans and he's 36 years old but its not about "fashion" its really about the emphasis on style over substance.
