I feel the same way. i love old school soul/rnb songs. My grandpa would listen to all of that stuff when i was younger, Al Greene, Teddy, Curtis, Barry White, Isaac Hayes, BB King. this new shit sucks. but i guess thats what all genres of music do. they are new and awesome for a decade then someone has to come fuck it up.

I prefer older R&B and I can't stand today's stuff but...ya'll really need to go listen to some more music if you think dudes singing with high pitched voices is a new thing. I mean most of the popular male artists in the 80s were on some super treble shit. Even a lot of the groups in the 60s and 70s had lead singers hitting high notes that a lot of these chicks can't get.

I think men and women used to sing good I mean you had Motown and even soul but modern girl groups are slutty and sing about one night stands.Disgracing soul music.

Mayne immature females wanting to hear this because back then those girls wanting the Christopher Williams looking boys and who could sing like them new edition boys these were young girls.

Also women used to sing better like Evelyn champagne instead of Ciara.

It's not exactly a bass voice thing, these new niggas just ain't funky enough no more. I ain't a vocal coach, but there is definitely something off about the majority of R&B artist today. A perfect example of a high pitched voice keeping it groovy.

Now compare this to anything R&B put on the radio in the last 3 years, excluding Prince. Ever since the late 90's these dudes ain't been bout it.

I came to say this.

Last one I remember was dude from Pretty Ricky, and the only member to escape obscurity from that group was wack ass Pleasure P. These niggas are only going to be areound as long as the fans allow them to.

That said, we got Frank Ocean and The Weeknd. And......I guess Miguel.
