i used to ask the same question

you coulda been said that shit 5 months ago....

but the truth is,these rappers on major labels have handlers,,,they gotta make sure the A&R/publicits/VP of Urban Music Division/VP of Artist Developement approve of what they will say and look like

the difference is NWA was pushin for social change & were radical in their pursuits. Add that w/ the records & protests they had during a tough time in blk history & u get a more credible group. Ross on the other hand is portraying a fantasy but tried to pass it off as his real life n he got exposed for it.
