On top of the fact that alot of these crimes shouldn't even be punishable by jail time (DUI, drug possession,etc), on top of the instutional racism aspects (crack/cocaine laws). The system is pretty outdated imo, and that's why you see the system being flooded and jails overcrowded. The shit doesn't rehabilitate people, it just train people to learn how to commit new crimes and how to be recividists.
