Best of luck to young dudes and all but THEY ARE NOT MY PEERS. so why should i be concerned what some youngsters think! they aint lived long enough to have a frame of reference. they the kids that be saying stuff like KOBE BETTER THAN JORDAN?? and they was like 5 when Jordan retired and never seen him play..
they the dudes will say Drake or Big Sean is the greatest thing they ever seen. too young and too ignorant to even know the significance of Rakim, Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane.
let them young bucks grow a lot of there heroes are here today gone tommorow ni99as. the pioneers that i love (no homo) there names will live forever as legends!

There is a market for what I call adult-contemporary HipHop which is more mature and adult oriented compared to LiL B & Soulja-boy,..........
JayZ, Kanye, Rozay, Cube, Common, Mos Def, Kweli, Devin, Jadakiss, all have mature content that's free from skinny-jeans and glitter-Mohawks.
All the great rappers are 30+ so being old in HipHop just means you are have a 99% chance of being better than the rappers under 30.

onepunch;2935405 said:I'll take it further...Rakim dropped PAID IN FULL at age 17....it's safe to say that he wrote most those rhymes around age 15-16....EPMD frst album them cats were 17-18....LL age 16 when he rreleased rock the bells....that's why i don't give these young emcees a past becaause all the legends were real young when they produced timeless albums....BRAND NUBIAn...the list goes on

twitter, the internet, cable TV, Xbox, this short attention span generation. I think back then dudes spent more time developing their craft. Where as now, its really hard to stay focused because there are all kinds of distractions and things to throw you off. How many people you know could spend 4 or 5 hours doing one thing without getting distracted. lol
