This thread seems to attack capitalistic society and the concept of 'greed' and 'excess', but you show me the lowest level of society, the most backwood bare mimimum existence, and they work.

If you're a spiritual/religious person, God rested on the 7th day. So if he rested, it means every other day he worked. It's innate. It's in our DNA.

And if thats not your thing, however you think we got here, work is a necessity. If you have 10 people and land, and thats it, its innate that work would evolve. I.e. all 10 people wouldnt go to hunt for food. Naturally, somoene is gonna say 'wait, we can be more efficient if i hunt, you cook, you clean, etc, etc. Thats delegation. That's work. Whether they got paid or not. Then you multiply that when its 100 people...1000 people...the services needed increase...the delegation increases...areas of expertise form...etc.

So you can draw a direct line from now all the way back to the origins of civilization. So thats a long answer to , imo, a pretty dumb question.
