Why do they think Biggie is most technical than Tupac ?

Because Biggie had the ability to storytell in a vivid way using different emotions (humor, pain, etc) and his wordplay was stellar too, real witty dude. His flow and delivery was incredible too, he could do the rapid fire shit, knew how to ride r and be records, and do gritty tracks.

Pac on the other hand was a great song writer but technically he lacked. As a lyricist all dude used was alliteration for the music part and was very limited in his vocab. He just was not that nice technically and he never really switched up his flow.

You could predict a lot of Pac's lyrics

Enemy, Hennesy, souldier, told ya, fiend, queen, kill me, feel me,etc

yo they flagged you b for dropping the truth??

T/S asks a question that he already had an answer to...I hate shit like that

Slap yourself if you actually believe a basic ass nigga like Pac is more of a technical emcee than Big.

Idiot

calm down…

have you problem to read ? my statement is tupac is most technical than BIG ? are you 6-7 yrs old ?

nobody support this with proofs, or underline the technical ability on the lyrcis…I think it is an opinion based on what all sayin.

Nah what you really said in the bolded is in reference to yourself. How can you ask a question like that when you swinging from Pac's nuts??? Straight up, you asked a question but its some damn attempt to have a Pac parade. Please sit down with that shit. Pac lovers should only be women from the 90s. You act as if Pac style is diverse. Hell, Master P was able to mimick it real easy. At least with Biggie, Jay had to bite directly from his lines. Shit, even Dave Chappelle did a skit about 2pac and he did his style with ease.

You can't tell a fly he's dancing on shit because that maphuka likes it and don't view it the way everyone else does

It is what it is...

you would have done better making a thread titled "I'm on Pac's nuts, call me Atlas"

Lol...yo since some of you dudes know about the T/S thread posting skills

How about all the posters just flag this nigga or give him some wacks??

dead ass...flag this nigga NOW

Biggie might be a better at storytelling, but Pac was one of the wittiest emcees ever and his wordplay was up there as well.

People like Pac, Common, Black Thought etc. will say some simple sounding shit, but that simple phrase means so much more than the extra shit these super-technical rappers try to spit.

For example, Pac's verse on Changes was better than 95% of rapper's careers. To me the shit is top notch lyricism because of the truth in it. His verse is vivid, thought-provoking, and real.

I'm tired of bein' poor and even worse I'm black.

My stomach hurts, so I'm lookin' for a purse to snatch.

Cops give a damn about a negro? Pull the trigger, kill a nigga, he's a hero.

Give the crack to the kids who the hell cares? One less hungry mouth on the welfare.

First ship 'em dope & let 'em deal to brothers.

Give 'em guns, step back, and watch 'em kill each other.

"It's time to fight back", that's what Huey said.

2 shots in the dark now Huey's dead.

Bottom line is Biggie was more of an emcee and Tupac was more of a Rapper....Biggie was trying to be lyrical to be considered a great emcee...Tupac was trying to tell you about his struggles and problems of the world..both were great at what they did...end of story

Wouldn't that be the other way around? Biggie was more of a rapper, and Tupac was more of an emcee/artist. Tupac rapped with a purpose, whereas Biggie was out to (make money and) prove to everyone that he could rap.

Couldn't have said it better my self. Pac was a GREAT songwriter... But Biggie could write songs, tell stories, and spit hard poetry almost at will...

This is why I have Biggie above Pac in my top 5... It's not like we're talking ill about Pac though, this is a discussion amongst TOP 5 DOA emcees right here...

i thought this was known already.....since when did pac fans care about the technical aspect of the emcee.....thought it was only about content with them....big had better word play, vocab, flow etc really dont see an arguement here

biggie flow is way overrated. i can name 10 niggas in 1994 who could rap circles around him easily. i can name 20 niggas who he wasnt fucking with in 1997. only 90s crackbabies and niggas catching up on old hip hop would think his flow was groundbreaking. what in the fuck is your flow worth when Craig Mack wrote half his shit. biggie got outshined on every apperance. method shitted on him. jay z shitted on him. bizzy and layzie did a number on him. brat outshined him. mase outshined him. jada outshined him. just because he dead dont mean he the greatest. niggas didnt think he was the best when he alive

Biggie is a more techincal rapper than 2pac....If you understand how multi-syllabale and internal rhyme schemes work. Pac has more of basic rhyme pattern. Not to mention Biggie had more flows(song he did with bone thugs) "flaming gats, aiming ]at, these fucking...Maniacs who put my name in raps

My nine flies, bap-tize, rap guys

With the holy ghost

I put holes in most, you hold your toast shakey

Slip-n-trying to break me

No one is saying pac didn't use complex rhyme schemes im sure if you look around at pacs music you find some great schemes but biggie just did it better and more often

pac did not have a basic rhyme scheme then biggie pac rhyme scheme was actually more complex then biggie imo. and also there is nothing complex about that rhyme scheme

at all u posted from biggie that is a horrible example there is not multi's in that verse

example

i wake up early in the morning

My state so Military

Suckers Fantasize, Pictures of a

Young Brother Buried Was it me, The Weed, Or this life I lead If daytime is for suckers then

Tonight we breathe

Out for all that Knowing that this world brings drawbacks Look how this shit bumps

Once I deliver these war raps

Meet me at the cemetery

Dressed in Black

Tonight we

Honor the dead those who won't be back

So if I die do the same for me

Shed no tear

An Outlaw, thug living in this game,

for years

Why worry,

Hope to god

Get me high

When I'm buried

Knowing deep inside only a few love me

Come rush me to the gates of heaven

Let me picture for a while

How I live for my days, as a child

I wonder now

How do we outlast, always get cash Stay strong if we all mash

Hold Your head

pac had one of the greatest flows of all times , biggie was just more consistent with his technacalities then Pac,

but when pac was flowin that boy was flowin

God bless the dead & buried, nigga

Don't worry, if you see God first, tell Him shit got worse

I ain't mad, I know you're representin the crew

And I can picture you in Heaven, with a blunt & a brew

Fuck the world, pain was a part of the game

If you a baller, money went as quick as it came

My role models ,gone or they locked in the pen

Straight hustlas, caught up in the whirlwind

The other day, I thought I seen my homeboy Biggie

Sayin shit don't stop, nigga, no pity

We all hood, and all we ever had was dreams

Money makin mothafuckas, plottin scandalous schemes

In the gutter, you learn to have a criminal mind

I was addicted to tryin, never meant to do time

My epitaph, will read "Was the last of Gs

Kicked the shit to make the white man bleed

God bless the dead"

Man, ain't nobody promised me, a thang

I been caught up, in this game

Ever since, I was a little motherfucka, wantin to hang

I can see 'em in my head, pow

Memories of my nigga, but he dead now

Lookin back, in my yearbook, all the years took

Half my peers, they're stretched for years

And if I die, will they all shed tears

Two to the dome, leave me alone, let me get my head clear

Paranoid got me lookin in the mirror

Behind me, life without my nine, I'd rather do the time

See I'm old enough to know, that ain't no justice

Fuck the police & all the courts, same way they fucked us

And why the hell, am I locked in jail

They let them white boys free, we be shocked as hell

In my mind, I can see it comin

And all the time ,it's a plot to keep a nigga runnin

By keepin gun & never run, unless I'm comin at ya

Cry later, but for now, let's enjoy the laughter

God bless the dead

While Biggie might have been better the MC because of his metaphors, punchlines and wordplay, Pac was definately the better artist because of his range. Pac literally touched on different aspect of the world and life, and because of the emotion he displayed, you could really empathize with him.

I see death around the corner, gotta stay high, while I survive

In the city ,where the skinny niggas die

If they bury me, bury me as a G, nigga, no need to worry

I expect retaliation in a hurry

I see death, around the- corner, anyday

Trying ,to keep it together, no one lives forever, anyway

Strugglin and strivin, my destiny's to die

Keep my finger on the trigger, no mercy in my eyes

In a ball of confusion, I think about my daddy

Madder than a motherfucker, they never shoulda had me

I guess I seen too many murders, the doctors can't help me

Got me stressin' with my pistol in my sheets, it ain't healthy

Am I paranoid? - Tell me the truth

I'm out the window, with my AK, ready to shoot

Ran out of endo, and my mind can't take the stress,

I'm out of breath

Make me wanna kill my damn self,

but I see death around the corner

I see death around the corner,

the pressure's getting to me

I no longer trust my homies,

them phonies, tried to do me

Smoking too much weed,

got me paranoid, stressed

Pack a gat and my vest,

under my clothes, when I dress

Here's hopin I die, the way I lived,

straight thuggin'

Huggin' my trigger, for all them niggas

who was buggin'

My homie told me once,

don't you trust them other suckers

They fought like they your homies

but they phony, motherfuckers

And even if I did, die young, who cares

All I ever got was mean mugs, and cold stares

I got homies in my head

who done passed away, screamin please

Young nigga, make Gs

I can't give up, although I'm hopeless,

I think my mind's gone

All I can do is get my grind on, death around the corner

I was raised in the city, shitty

Ever since, I was an itty bitty kitty

Drinkin' liquor, out my momma's titty

And smokin' weed was an everyday thang, in my household,

And drinking liquor, til' you out cold

And tho' i'm gone now, nigga it's still on- Pow

Bustin on them niggas, til they gone

How many more jealous ass bitches, comin for my riches

Now I gotta stay suspicious, when I bone

Cause if I ain't sharp and heartless,

them bitches will start shit

Excuse me, but this is where we part bitch

No more, game for free, please explain to me

Why niggas trip, bitch, who you came to see?

Murderin' now, but see me later man, as for my pops

I got homies, that will hunt you, til you drop

I hope the Lord will forgive me, I was a G

And gettin high was a way of gettin free

I see death around the corner

That's all fine and all, but don't proclaim Pac a great mc then if he doesn't excel at the technicalities of it. Call him a poet then!

Man music aint a scientific formula. All but .000001% of the population just knows they like a song. It comes on, they like how it sounds and start movin. I listen to 2Pac all the time and some of his cds are must haves for me.That dont mean i have a problem with Biggie. Different music for when i feel like listenin to it.
