oh ok, alot of these niccaz got issues on here. Can u imagine if niccaz held the power of some1 like hitler? it would be a white mans dream cause they'd wipe their own people out first.

How the fuck is people still on this LS vs DS when the main issue is that people think LS is looked at better by krakkkaz. Do people really care bout their opinions and want their approval?

yes..they (allreasonedout) do

just because you are not attracte to darkskin ppl does not mean u have self hatred.

Im lightskinned, but I dont like light skin girls does that mean I hate myself. I personally like

dark skin girls even tho Im light you can be attracted to ppl who dont look like you and not be self hating.

i like dark skin chicks, white girls and spanish chicks also kelly rowland chicks, but I dont like lighskin chicks like

hillary from fresh prince.

the self hatred rule mainly applies to the darkskinned people who talk about how they don't like darkskinned men/women.

No, it may prove the cultural relativity of attraction, not its subjectivity. The subjective is personal.
Cultural relativity is merely the sharing/commonality between subjects' beliefs within a culture. It's not the same as objectivity.

For attraction to be objective, it must be something that exists independently of the mind or outside of the subject. This is not the case.

Since, in the mind of the the subject, what is considered "attractive" depends on their experiences (this includes their environment) and/or the nature of the subject's mind, attraction is subjective.

Listen, this post does not augur well for a productive exchange, and so this may be my last post to you on this. But you're confused. It should be clear that I'm not trying to say that attraction is objective. I'm saying that it is not purely subjective in the personal, individualized sense.

Please explain how you came to that conclusion because I'm having a hard time making any sense of it.

making lightskin darkskin threads every week about other peoples preference/prejudice means it bothers you what others think and feel

It bothers me what black people think and feel. I freely acknowledge that. What I don't get, and what I want you to explain, is how what I've been saying shows that I'm concerned with what white people are saying/thinking in the way that Gns said.

There is no "gray area" for subjectivity/objectivity. If--as you propose--attraction "is not purely subjective", then "it must be something that exists independently of the mind or outside of the subject"; which would make it objective.

Since, in your own words, you are saying attraction "is not purely subjective", you are also saying "attraction is objective" or that "attraction is sometimes objective". Either statement is false.

Here are some helpful definitions of "subjective" and "objective" to clarify things:

AllReasonedOut believes all black people who are unmixed are crispy black and if you like anything outside of his standard you selfhating. It's the "True Negro" myth whites used to divide Africans. He also buys the idea that humans can somehow be genetically "pure". It's pretty racist IMO and the funny thing is he doesn't even know he's adopted racist ideas against his own people.

You're wrong. You're making groundless inferences. For example, I don't believe that a black person who likes a non-dark-skinned person is self-hating, as I've said repeatedly (though not in this thread so far). But there should be an asymmetry between how we treat light-skin preferences and dark-skin preferences: in light of white supremacy, the former are presumptively problematic but the latter are not.
