Why do some agree with and speak of the evil elements..

You assume that the people who don't believe in the "greater good"/god/creator also believe in evil spirits, the devil or (rofl)baphomet.

Those are all myths. There are no evil spirits. Just people... With the same capacity for evil as any one of us who chooses to act out in that way. Just the same as a person can choose to do good or choose to be indifferent/apathetic.

Well it would depend.

To believe in the devil/baphomet and not believe in God I don't think I have ever seen because to believe in the Devil you have to believe in the bible or w/e book they follow that has both in it.

As for spiritis, ghosts, and the like I could understand because those beliefs have been around forever because of the fear of night and folklore so you don't really have to believe in a god to think that souls are released after death.

"Baphomet" is mostly a man made construct that has been attributed arbitrarily by many different people to evil. Information from its origin to its current "concept" is laughable at best. The "church of satan" basically started using it as a symbol and now all of a sudden its the "go-to"image for all things evil. At least in American society.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
In a cult that sacrifices goats to the Baphomet post.

Great post right here. SMH at anyone taking the devil seriously, there is nature and the forces that made it......the devil and demons are all bullshit made to explain God's many many mistakes.

God, man, same thing.

Honestly, same thing.

I don't agree. Man may be a part of god and god a part of he, but to say they are one in the same I think is in error.

What are things that separate the two?

Our lack of wisdom, lack of understanding, lack of ability to create(we only manipulate or discover what is already here). Our inability to obtain supreme consciousness, our inability to withdraw to no-thingness.

And why does God have these? How do you know it would have these? Perhaps they are attainable after death.

then theres the "well god cant be the only thing that can create from nothingness, because it would have been created from nothingness"

I don't really understand what you're asking? If god didn't have these things, why would it be called god?

How do you know it would have these?

I don't know it does, but am only speaking from my current understanding, which is always subject to revision.

Perhaps they are attainable after death.

But then wouldn't be we have to able to be the ALL? How wouldn't we do that?

then theres the "well god cant be the only thing that can create from nothingness, because it would have been created from nothingness"

But when has there every been nothing? Come on now, we go through this every few months, energy has always been. It just may not always been in form, sound or light.

Because everyone has a different version of what "God" implies. So there is no true god, it comes in all variations.

But then wouldn't be we have to able to be the ALL? How wouldn't we do that?

IMO we are able to be all, we lost our way though.

Well for a "God" to have infinite wisdom, complete understanding, the ability to create, etc... I think everything would have to have had a beginning and an end. To create something there had to have been a nothing before, if you're saying the pieces were there, then man creating steel beams are the same as a gods work scenario, only on a smaller level, taking something we have already known to exist and making something new from it. It might be confusing, but right now I can't think of another simpler way to say it.

Because they are real.

Evil is only a departure or aberration from what is natural. Some call it good and evil. Some call it Devil and God. It is struggle within self to gain control of the lower desires. This is not done for the sake of just doing it. Mastery of self and nature is preceded by these things.

The only difference between men is their level of self control and discipline. He who can't becomes a slave for he who can and his ill motives, that is the outside evil, which has no effect on you if you can control the inner turmoil.

This is true to an extent, but humans usually arent't blamed for hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, and tsunamis.

I personally blame God for these things. Who's your scapegoat?

I do my best to stick as close to 'god is everything and nothing'.

IMO we are able to be all, we lost our way though.

How could the part be the whole?

Imo, every 'thing' does have a beginning and end. All sound fades back into silence, all light back into darkness and form back into void. It would only be the silence, void and darkness that is constant. Does that even make sense lol?

Oh right. Ok then I just call that nature doing what it does trying to keep balance.
