actually some fijians claim to have came from east africa themselves passed down by word from their ancestors, you can visit some of theri forums and stalk them to find this out for yourself, it has nothing to do with african americans

africans dont see blackness the way we do, they identify with their ethnicity/nationality more so than their race, so of course they will not care to learn about the different blacks from around the globe the way black americans do, plus many blacks from the carribean and latin america are interested in learning about the blacks of the pacific as well so its not just african americans, im gonna need you to use logic sometime soon
