I'm confused. I don't really understand the purpose of this topic. Are you suggesting that in the past pacific islanders look blacker than they do now? And are you supporting that by picking a choosing pictures based on that narrative. I mean anyone on here could go easily surf the net and find a ton of pictures of modern pacific islanders that are black. The modern "Out of Africa" theory charts the migration of people from South Africa to Australia and that path goes right through the Pacific Islands. However, that was dozens of millennia ago, so I'm sure there has been pretty significant mixing done throughout that time with the modern Asians in the area.

when people say these people are not black they mean they are not African better yet they mean that these people descend from a very ancient population of Africans.

simply put people changed through race mixture and environmental adaption. Even the name Polynesian indicates that we are talking about more than one group of people. logically some were light some were darker and as the ancestors of the ploynesian people moved they picked up different genes from people.
