Lol I couldn't make it past page 3. I don't get the hate enjoy the music & shut up wit' who's lyrical who's pop it's music, enjoy the different styles, if it's wack don't listen, it's simple. I'm from NY I fuck wit' 3-6, UGK, Brick Squad etc. other times I like my lyrical, witty, punchline rap, but I'll be damned if I'm in the club taking shots listening to Nas talk about his rhyme book so fuck whoever said our hoes be in the club twerkin' to Big L Lmao

Why y'all saying we don't support our lyrical rappers (when we do)? The same argument can be said that y'all don't support y'all lyrical rappers. When was the last time Chino XL went gold? How many units did the last GZA album sell?

How did J Cole not get support if the nigga had a #1 album, had gold & platinum singles, and a gold album?

You need to be more specific with that yall shit, who the fuck tried to make him Little Brother status, the nigga made hit records and gold album like I said, LB didn't, smh niggas just be talkin

@Jamaica don't skip over this nigga

Alright since you want a response

I said y'all wasn't trying to support him. Let me be specific around 2010/2011 time when Cole was underground. Did southern radio give him consistent spins? He wasn't making music like Waka and Gucci. He was deemed boring by a lot of y'all. Look what happened to Lil Brother they made similar music like Cole but wasn't making commercial sounding southern music like Mike Jones at the time. But unlike Cole they weren't backed by Jay Z and Roc Nation with his connections. If Cole wasn't with Jay he'd be where Big Krit is right now.

this nigga still saying y'all

he gon tell a nigga what's on the radio down here

but you don't listen to the radio do you?

shut up, dude

This thread been made since I originally signed up in late '03 and everytime it does numbers and got people in their emotions. Just accept the fact certain rappers you might like suck @ rapping and KIM. Wackness isn't a matter of opinion.

That whole giving wack n*ggas passes, "let him get his money" type attitude has lowered the bar to the point any wack n*gga can get into the game if he has connections. The south's rise symbolized regression and even devaluation of the craft of an emcee. How many nice rappers from the south came out after the mid nineties other than Luda & TI, Cole, Krit and a few others? You can count them on one hand and for every nice rapper there's 10 wack ones.

Nigga fuck you talking about. I grew up in was born in San Pablo, grew up in Richmond and went to school there. I'm about as Bay as you can get. I just left this shit alone because these niggas points of reference completely and totally skewed. They don't know what lyricism and originality in music is. To parapharse quote Rosebudd, explaining why Bay rappers are dope artists to these niggas is like "explainin' astrophysics to a muthafuckin' whino." It's completely and utterly points. These niggas will in one breath talk about how wack Bay artists and Eminem are, then praise Master P for his supposedly "classic albums." That's a conversation I can't not, and most of all will not engage in. Shit is pointless. As a matter of I don't monitor what have been made on this message board, and I honestly thought this particular topic wouldn't get the response it did. I thought it would be done in two pages.

If anybody unqualified it's you because you haven't said a damn to defend the soil, it's as if to say your silence is acquiescence to these niggas arguments in defense of their wack ass and bullshit artists.

I guess it's that "lack of unity," and "crabs in a barrel," mentality that's rearing it's ugly head on this broad, that my potnas back home are tellin me about which prevents niggas out there from coming up.
