I don't think it was meant to be taken literally, it was some funny examples to get his point across. He made alot of good points especially about chuck berry and origins of rock n roll, I mention before on here that spike lee spoke on that particular scene as well......its one of those things you dont catch or think nothing of as a kid until you get older and your like "hold up"

Saw this years after it came out Kuz people were sayin it some kinda classic. This movie was hard sellin that incest shit. It was mad uncomfortable to watch

Yeah when I was a kid I've always thought the song "Hound Dog" was Elvis Presley song as I became an adult .Then one day I was researching on the early beginnings of Rock n Roll and found out Elvis did a cover of "Hound dog" it wasn't his song originally but was performed by Willie Mae Thornton.

Perception is a crazy thing when dealing with history.
