In the case of 808s I don't consider that growth, I consider it experimentation.
In the case of BP3, that was pure capitalization. There was no hint of growth on any form.
It's a catch 22, people want the same thing, but get mad 3 albums in its the same. The ones who want growth get mad when an artist changes his style. I'm with Jamaica, change and growth is fine (you can't expect a 35 year old to do the same thing he did 15 years ago. Experiences, environment, and learning new things makes for Change), but know what you're doing well enough to make it work and make it good. Not throwing shit everywhere and hope something works.
