Two things
1. Most niggas are limited in their experiences culturally (not hiphop, but different shit such as other music, traveling,etc).
2. Most rap fans look at music with nostalgia (the music they grew up on). Music ties into their childhood memories, hence the reason why they want rappers to keep creating the music from their childhood.
With that said, some of the shit is poorly executed and some of this shit is not hiphop. 808 ain't hiphop and neither is bullshit that Drake is putting out, BP3 had some terrible songs on it too. I'm all for experimenting, but it has to be executed right.
