I'd be suprised if J.Cole sells as much. Drake basically sold based on the best I ever had single and his work on SFG mixtape. J. Cole needs a smash hit like that to sell those numbers.

Everytime i see a discussion they sound all threatened and talk about a bunch of useless shit like marketability, making hit records, he won't sell as much as Drake, etc. None of that shit doesn't have anything to do with shit and it's a little premature to assume J Cole won't sell as much.

I see more Cole stans making threads about Drake than anything. Its like yall have to have something to grab on to and Drake is the one yall want to compare. The insecurity comes from Coles stans who desperately want their champion to be looked at on the same level as Drake because they think he is the better rapper. Drake fans are already secure in the FACT that they know he had 2009 on lock with a mixtape, a platinum album in 2010, made 9 million according to Forbes, a sold out tour, and has numerous endorsement deals. Cole has done NONE of that and his fans desperately cry for attention.

And its not premature to assume Cole wont sell as much. Cole first single was luke warm at best and lasted a good month or two..Drake's singles are still being played. It dont take a genius to figure out what type of sales Cole will have. He is more likely to move Kid Cudi numbers and thats on the high end.

why do fans of J. Cole want J. Cole and Drake to beef so bad? Why can't some of them understand it's possible to enjoy both Drake and J. Cole w/o having to say "J. Cole shits on Drake" or vice versa

it's just because they're both half breeds and high yella.

if j.cole or drake weren't lightskin, there really wouldnt be the comparissons between the two.

I would say its the other way around. J Cole fans are the insecure ones. Drake has already established himself this year. Drake has a SOLID platinum album under his belt, in addition to all kinds of endorsement deals and just general popularity. J Cole not so much. J Cole fans sometimes try to force Cole onto listeners because his supposed "superiority" as an artist...... I don't see it. When J Cole doesnt do numbers watch how many Drake hate threads pop up. Cole will find his niche in hip-hop he just wont be able to compete with Drake in certain aspects, theyre two completely different rappers. I also don't think being in Roc Nation is gonna help J Cole either.

how is this shit useless tho?
if you're unable to be marketed then who gives a fuck how superior you are on the mic?
case in point: fred da godson
if you can't make a hit record then who gives a fuck how superior you are on the mic?
case in point: niggas like papoose, cory gunz, joe budden, etc., etc.
and if you ain't sellin no records then why are you rapping?
i'm not 1 of them, "records sold = skills and ability" type niggas
but don't nobody aim for triple wood, family
so it seems like you just proved your own point but for the opposition
you're the 1 seeming threatened
let that nigga drop a fuckin album, geesh
